“Social” Media: Redefining Activism

With the evolution of Social Media, it it funny how we forget about historical movements of activism, and how there were times when it really did matter “how many friends you had.” If you take a step back, it is amazing to see how dependent we have become on these tools and to comprehend the impact they have had even on global affairs such as the recent events Iran.

Can you imagine if they had Twitter during the 1960 sit-ins across the South? That would be considered a modern day “Tweet-Up.”
