Brands and Chatroulette

Reading through this Ad week article made me think “Wow,what a way to break through the noise!”

That was quickly followed by “I wish I had been when the marketing geniuses at Burger King, Travelocity and French connection decided this was definitely  the hand to play!”

After about a 2 minutes of thinking this over, I think they might be onto something. Granted this channel wont be the new Facebook and depending on your brand, you should never associate with Chatroulette but this present a unique opportunity to reach your targets.  Because lets face it, in this case, they do need to be clothed, eat and travel some time. 🙂

Suzuki Hopes Facebook Game Drives Home New ‘Fans’- Sound familiar

I found this on iclikz and thought it tied in with the whole engaging your client angle every company is going for.

I am curious to know how successful it will be. One of the factors determining the longevity of the game on Facebook is the number of hits/people playing the game.

I kinda feel like you would have to be a suzuki fan to even invite your friends to play against you on facebook, but then again, isnt that the point?

Yahoo targets in-line

This article about Yahoo testing new search ad targeting and placements on its search site made me think about our assignment this week and how appropriate it was.

The short of it is, it  allows advertisers to buy text ads directly within Yahoo’s drop down menu of suggested keywords.
